Recognizing Stroke Symptoms

It'll soon be my Dad's 3rd death anniversary - he suffered a major stroke which left half of his body paralyzed and he couldn't speak. Looking back, I really regretted for not calling for an ambulance at the onset of his stroke which might have prevented paralysis...

I hope history won't repeat for my Mom and thus, I found an easy-to-remember way to detect stroke symptoms - it's called FAST:

Face: Ask the person to smile. Does one side of the face droop?
Arms: Ask the person to raise both arms. Does one arm drift downward?

Speech: Ask the person to repeat a simple phrase. Is the speech slurred or strange?
Time: If you observe any of these signs, seek help immediately!
